Photon, founded by two successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur brothers, is the largest provider of Cloud-to-Consumer User Experiences, also known as C2C-UX. Founders Srinivas and Mukund Balasubramanian, are two brothers with different educational backgrounds. Srinivas focused on business with an MBA from the Indian Institute for Management Calcutta and has professional experiences in investment banking with JP Morgan and CLSA. Mukund, a technologist, has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Prior to Photon Infotech, the brothers founded INFRAVIO in Mukund’s dorm room at Stanford in 1999. INFRAVIO is now one of the world’s leading companies in Web Services and SOA Governance space. The brothers envisioned the product strategy and built the technology team that eventually led their product to be put in the number one position by global analyst firm, Gartner, placing them above competitors such as Oracle, IBM, HP and TIBCO. Their development of web services technology enabled the brothers to anticipate the Enterprise Cloud to emerge as a global platform.
In 2006, the brothers sold INFRAVIO and found Photon one year later in 2007. The newly founded company generated hundreds of clients early in its birth as a cutting edge Silicon Valley Startup Company. Photon prides itself as being a company with a deep understanding of the newest emerging technology in both the cloud and mobile computing spaces. Its culture, scale and stability of a Global Services provider, services Fortune 100 Enterprise IT clients. Currently serving more multichannel and mobile clients than any if its leading competitors, Photon created its own New York based in-house Design Agency, called 72 Pixels, to service all of their clients and manage creative content for the new responsive and mobile-native era.
